HEALTH AND SAFETY

Safety is number one priority at Musselwhite. The Musselwhite team is committed to all employees going home safely, as well as meeting or exceeding all applicable safety regulations. An aggressive safety management plan was implemented in 2003 to support these goals. Musselwhite is progressing with the Behavioral Based Safety Program which empowers each employee to control the jobs and tasks in their work areas and identify high risk situations.  The aim is to provide a workplace that is 'safe enough for our families'.

In 2007 the Musselwhite Mine Rescue team reached the finals in the Ontario Procvincial Underground Mine Rescue Competition.
