MUSSELWHITE

THE FUTURE

The future of Musselwhite looks bright with the discovery of the PQ Deeps deposit in 2003.  This new deposit is expected to replace production from the T Antiform and become the backbone of our operation moving in the future.

During the last 10 years, there has been active ongoing exploration that has discovered several new zones of gold bearing ore.  The PQ Deeps has been Musselwhite’s most successful to date but there are other discoveries: the “Thunderwolves” and the “Moose” Zones are relatively new and exciting discoveries and keeping in our recent tradition are named after hockey team supported by site personnel.  The mine continues to explore the PQ Deeps deposit at depth and are currently drilling diamond drillholes with lengths of over 2 kilometres in the same locale that the Musselwhite brothers explored on the northern shore of Opapimiskan Lake, over 6 kilometres from the existing mine site..

The planned mine life of Musselwhite Mine is expected to extend to 2015.  With current exploration success and excellent exploration potential elsewhere at the mine, there are good opportunities to extend the mine life beyond 2015 and continue the benefits to Northwestern Ontario
