Clean Industry Certificate The Clean Industry Certificate is an acknowledgement awarded to those companies that comply with all relevant environmental regulations, and is presented by the Mexican environmental protection authority, PROFEPA. The program is voluntary, which promotes companies to develop an environmental audit program that is defined as a methodological assessment of its operations with respect to contamination and general risk. In doing so, compliance with environmental regulations and international standards, as well as best operating and engineering practices can be determined, and the preventative and corrective measures necessary to protect the environment defined. The attainment and maintenance of the Clean Industry Certificate is one of Goldcorp requirements for all of its Mexican operations. Currently, all sites in operation, El Sauzal, San Dimas and Nukay (Los Filos underground) have this certificate. The newly commissioned Los Filos Open Pit site is currently undergoing the process for obtaining the certificate.

The Charles F. Rand Memorial Gold Medal Kevin McArthur, President & CEO was presented the 2008 Charles F. Rand Memorial Gold Medal on February 27th. The award, presented by the American Institute of Mining Engineers, recognizes distinguished achievement in mining administration and acknowledges Kevin’s lifetime commitment and dedication to the mining and mineral exploration industry. This latest tribute solidifies his reputation as an industry leader and Goldcorp as one of the best mine builders in the world.

Contribution to the Community Prize - Honorable Mention to Montana Exploradora de Guatemala, S.A: December 2007

The Guatemalan-American Chamber of Commerce recently awarded a Special and Honorary mention to Montana Exploradora de Guatemala, S.A. for their excellent community development program in the San Marcos Department (State).  The 'Neighbors for Progress' project not only provides economic contribution to the development of San Miguel Ixtahuacán and Sipacapa, but provides community members with formal education and training on how to administer a project and prioritize community needs.  The project and training demonstrated that more can be accomplished within the community by working together.

Governors' Excellence in Mining Reclamation Award - 2007

Awarded by the Nevada Division of Minerals to the Marigold Mining Comapny in recognition of reclamation and closure efforts at teh Dee, Daisy and Marigold mines.
