In development: a growing gold/silver deposit 50 kilometres from Peñasquito.

The Camino Rojo gold/silver project—another satellite operation that would augment the production of the Peñasquito mine—is in the feasibility study phase. The acquisition of Camino Rojo’s 3,389-square kilometre concession in 2010 nearly quadrupled Goldcorp’s land holdings in the area. The project area includes the Represa deposit, which contains measured and indicated resources of 2.8 million gold ounces and 52.6 million silver ounces. Total inferred resources are 0.4 million ounces of gold and 5.9 million ounces of silver.
